What I said prior to the Semi Final: "36-year-old jazz musician Roger Cicero will swing to Helsinki, performing 'Frauen regier'n die Welt' ('Women rule the world'). I like this entry very much - Roger is a class act in the mould of Michael Buble or Jamie Cullum, with a tremendously fuity and soulful voice, while the song is lively and uplifting. It's refreshing to see jazz represented at Eurovision, and this entry has the advantage of being different to anything else in this year's Contest, with not a comedy male, rocker or drag queen to be seen. With the exception of 'Run and hide' - which rightly scored next to nothing - I do think Germany's last few entries have picked up fewer votes than they deserved. Hopefully 2007 will bring better fortune."
My prediction for Semi Final: N/A My prediction for Final: 15th to 17th What I predicted prior to the Semi Final: "This is a hard one to judge - Roger Cicero's showing in the fan polls and betting is consistently unremarkable, yet there are enough people who (rightly, I believe) feel that Germany has a very strong song with a fantastic performer. On the other hand, recent years have seen me routinely overestimate the prospects of classy German entries, predicting near-victory when a mid-table placing would have proved more accurate. I fear a similar fate may befall Germany this year, continuing the trend of Big 4 entries failing to trouble the top ten. It's definitely one of my 2007 favourites though."
